One of the challenges of making large crochet projects is giving them an interesting texture, but still keeping the overall project simple and unassuming. The chevron crochet blanket is one such project. It uses nested chevrons (i.e. zig-zags) to create a herringbone texture that beautifully complements the color selection.

Chevron Crochet Blanket – Textured
If you like the idea of the chevron blanket, but you find the previous one too ridgy, the tunisian chevron blanket has a delicate surface with a defining line crossing the nested apices of the chevrons. Or, as an alternative, the dragon fly lace chevrons in the dragonfly chevron blanket are an interesting offset to the more solid background. All of these patterns produce a memorable and beautiful blanket. Which, of course, leads to the next problem: which one do I choose?
