Here is a lovely square that functions inspired by an island in the sea. It’s an easy project with a little twist, through the use of puff stitches in the middle. The square can be used on its own, but it can also function in a blanket or afghan. If you reinforce the edges, the square is a good idea for a coaster or doily. Of course, the sky’s the limit in terms of color, and you will have fun making a bunch of these to create a real varied, fun blanket. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
