You might think that stained glass can’t be rendered too well in crochet, but that is not so. Crocheting can be a wonderful way to demonstrate a stained glass effect and mosaic squares that can be used to decorate just about any room in the house. Whether it’s a blanket, area rug or afghan, crocheted “stained glass” is just beautiful, as you will see below.
Rozeta Blanket Free Crochet Pattern
Here is a beautiful blanket CAL project inspired by and evocative of stained glass rosettes of Gothic churches (think of the huge rosette over the main door of Notre Dame). It is a very decorative and elegant project that will be the focal point of any room you choose to grace with it. What’s really surprising is the simplicity of the crocheting, and the different color variants corresponding to viewing a stained glass window at different times of the day.
