Animal blankets are a perennial favorite with kids of all ages. The great thing about them is that there is such a huge variety to choose from, therefore you can really match the theme to their taste. Moreover, you can also vary the complexity of the designs to make them as realistic or as stylized as you please.There is consequently very few limits to what you can do with a forest animal baby blanket.

This pattern is a particularly good example, because it comes with instructions how to crochet numerous forest animal appliques for the squares and detailed directions for the overall project. It is a lovely, thick blanket that will serve equally well as play rug, a bassinet blanket or a bed throw, because of its drippiness. This is a wonderful project.
