It’s brass monkeys out there, and you need to keep your ears warm.

You could wear an ear warmer, however, the top of your noggin will get cold. So, the answer to that is an earflap hat. Of course, you don’t want to wear something that your granddad would have worn a zillion years ago, you prefer following modern free crochet hat patterns, right? Well, don’t be discouraged! Therefore, you want something fun, stylish and not too hard to make. Thus, why not try some of these patterns to see that you DON’T have to be a Grumpy Old Man to wear an earflap hat.

At the same time, this isn’t just another crochet beanie. The ear flaps will keep the hat on the head even in the strongest wind, and make this hat appropriate for babies and toddlers. Indeed, sizes are provided from newborn to large adult and it is of intermediate difficulty.
