I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

There is nothing as colorful as a butterfly

Indeed, not even flowers approach the level of coloration that butterflies exhibit. Therefore, in order to bring the most color into your home, we’ll be making blankets full of butterflies. While rich, these are all easy projects with repeating patters. These butterfly blankets will work up quickly and they’ll be a wonderful, multi-hued addition for your home. However, they will not be garish or overpowering, so you needn’t worry about them not fitting in. In addition to the colors, the shape of the butterfly is also a glorious theme all by itself. In fact, it is simply wonderful all by itself as a crocheting theme.

So, among blankets full of butterlies, this is one that looks like a clasic butterfly display case. Additionally, I love how the maker rendered the multicolor appearance of the wings.
