The devil is in the details
Since the Fall is the best time to take on crochet challenges, then if you would like to be adventurous you should try one of these patterns. Of course, you are, and you should! However, you may be justified in thinking that squares are just not the right thing for a challenge. That said, you would be wrong and here are some detailed square ideas to prove it. Overall, these are challenging, fun and intricate projects that are little masterpieces on their on. On the other hand, you can also work them into a larger project to really make it pop.
Secret Garden Square
First, here is a large 15 by 15 inch detailed square, with a wonderful combination of textures and details. In particular, I love the central rosette that looks as if it’s suspended on a web of ropes.

Next, here is a detailed square that combines a wonderful background with wonderful, protruding surface details. Of course, its crisp edge makes it perfect for blankets.

Element Blanket Square
Finally, here is a detailed square based on the elements pattern. Obviously this timeless theme, first released in 2017 is also perfect for these detailed and intricate squares as well.
