Of course flower ideas just for spring are not just there to welcome that most wonderful of seasons. Indeed, they can also be a way to bring a taste of it into your winter home. Simple 10-Petal Flower Square

The firs of our flower ides, an afghan square pattern is easy, but just difficult enough to challenge the beginner and produces a beautiful motif that can be worked into an afghan, throw or blanket. The square is 9 inches to a side and is made in three shades of worsted weight yarn and an H hook. You can vary the size by changing the weight of the yarn, the hook size and yarn tension.

My Frida’s Blossom

However, in order to build a flower blanket, you also need flower ideas. So, here is the pattern for the basal building block, a Frida flower on a black, hexagonal background. Overall, it’s both colorful and elegant, a rare combination. To summarize, Frida’s flowers are a  well known motif. Nevertheless, they are still one of the greatest themes for crocheting. I really am interested in the Sweet Flower (The original pattern and the photos are available at Tanoshiimajo on Instagram) but when I go to the link, the pattern isn’t complete and there is no way to copy the pattern pages that are available. Is there a way to get the full instructions ?
