Here is another take on that venerable classic, the granny square. This particular one is large, some 35″ on a side, and functions quite well on its own as a baby blanket. It consists of a standard granny square center and a simply stitched border that’s given its zest by the color rainbow. The project is easy, but its size will provide a pleasing challenge to the beginner and a nice diversion for the more advanced crocheter. This is a very interesting pattern for a modernized perennial favorite project. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
