I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

The Lake Sunset Shawl is big enough to cover your arms while admiring a sunset at the beach, especially at the end of the summer or in the early fall. In the meantime, it is a perfect starting project for beginners. Using only basic stitches and YarnArtFlowers you can easily follow this pattern to create an identical shawl or pick different yarns to make your own unique combination. However, if you want to maintain the color flow, stay with an ombre yarn.  A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
