While Christmas is over, Winter will be with us for some time to come and, therefore, so will cardigan weather. Here are some cardigan patterns to keep you warm on cold winter evenings.

The Habitat Cardigan Free Crochet Pattern

The Habitat Cardigan is a warm, loose fitting, wrappable cardi that is not particularly difficult to make, other than it’s size. Speaking thereof, the size is adjustable. It has a broad lapel that can be used to snuggle up around the neck, and loose folds that flow down your shoulders and body. It’s a wonderful project that will be fun to make and great to wear. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.

If the wide lapels and collar aren’t your thing, or aren’t your thing at all times, why not try the Aurora women’s cardigan? This is also a loose-flowing and comfortable sweater that is slightly lighter than the Habitat cardi. Make one of each, and enjoy them as the mood strikes you!

Haven Cardigan

Is winter getting to you, even in your home, or do you have to go out on a chilly evening? This soft, flowing cardigan is just the thing. Perfect for lighting a fire in the fireplace and relaxing all warm, cozy and stylish. The rich texture of the cardigan is made using the bobble stitch, which makes it look much more difficult and intricate than it actually is. This project works up quickly and will be fun to make and have a satisfying end result.

I am waiting for this kit to come. It will be my third attempt at crocheting clothing. I’m new. I’ve only just taught myself to crochet just after Christmas. Hopefully I don’t screw it up. Lol. Otherwise it’s back to easy blankets! ?
