Halloween is almost gone, Christmas: here we come!

So, St. Nick is barely two months away, not even! Aaaaaaaaargh! Therefore, it’s time to get the red, white and green yarns out and start crocheting away. Of course, those aren’t the only colors available and we definitely have lots of choices in terms of patterns. However, to get us started here are some festive granny square ideas that will be a great way to get going with yuletide crocheting. Moreover, since they are  a warm-up, these are easy patterns that nevertheless make wonderful projects that get your whole house into the festive spirit.

Christmas Granny Afghan Free Crochet Pattern

Next, this jolly, seasonal Christmas Granny Afghan will give your room a festive and “ready-for-Santa” look. This wonderful piece is easy to make, and can be worked to any size you like. Just add or subtract squares as needed. Made with an amazing festive granny square, it is easy to work up and and is an applique for other projects as well, like Christmas tree ornaments.
