I’m an accomplished craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews on the topic of crocheting and other crafts. In my everyday work, I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to making our crochet society bigger and more popular. I’m interested in crafts and interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

It’s June. The summer solstice is nigh, and what better way to ring in the longest day of the year than to make a special, almost dedicated garment for it? The longest day is special, and many cultures regard it as a turning point of the year. The sweater is relatively easy to make, and an adventurous beginner can easily attack this with confidence, and the beautiful lacy and flowing shape will be its own great reward at the end of the project. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
