This fall, why not wear a crochet poppy?
These are beautiful flowers. Well, obviously! However, as the warm days run out, it’s time to start getting ready for the fall. These crochet poppy flowers are easy to make and will be highly commemorative this November. These tiny wonders are known for their powerful, fiery color and the delicacy of amazingly thin petals. Such an unusual mix of qualities, right? In the words of John McCrae “In Flanders Field the poppoes blow”. It’s little wonder that these beautiful flowers were the inspiration.
Button Poppy Flower
This poppy can be made in must yarn weights. If you want a smaller one, you use finer yarn, or heavier yarn for larger ones. Also, choose the right button, and you’re done. Simple as that.

This button poppy for remembrance is another easy pattern that will be great to celebrate Nov. 11. It’s easy to make, you can easily adjust its size, and will be a great project to use up some red yarn scraps.

Poppy Flower
This last poppy is more realistic than the others. Consequently, it’s more decorative and less remembrance-oriented. However, this crochet poppy flower will be a worthy center piece on a wall or table.
