In contrast to the latter piece, this project foregoes gentle color transitions in favour of strong color bands alternating with strongly contrasting white. As well as the contrast, it also uses a color gradient with gentler hue transitions within the color bands. Thus the net effect is that of a mobile, wavy surface which is quite striking.
