Thick, solid, decorated with wonderful cables. These crochet pieces are truly impressive! We got inspired by two designs in very unique shades and created this selection of Romantic Celtic Afghans. Who doesn’t love light-toned violets and greens? The colors of lavender fields enchant us.

There is something special, even magical about Celtic knots.  This afghan is a somewhat more ambitious, but still manageable, project that displays a set of three different Celtic knot stitches against a loosely stitched background. This afghan is simply perfect for a forested deck or cottage patio, especially in warm, pale earth tones. However, you can step it up a notch, and use a color palette to match any interior.

  1. I am really looking forward to crocheting the celtic Afghan. Thanks so much for making this available for free as money is very tight these days and yarn is not cheap. If I had to add thevprice of pattern on top, I likely would not be making it.

  4. I’m wondering where you got the picture of my work of the Celtic Afghan. I made that blanket, and took those photos about 5 years ago for a friend’s baby. Would have been nice to been given the credit for your inspiration.
