I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

Everyone loves the Lucky Cat, right? Of course in many homes a porcelain one would not be practical, or some people may simply not like ceramics. This lucky cat (about 4″ tall) fills that niche exactly. It’s a relatively simple ami (upraised paw notwithstanding) with some interesting decorations. You can make this by itself, or as part of a larger collection of lucky cats to bestow on your friends and loved ones for their enjoyment and luck. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
