It’s always a good idea to increase your stitch quiver. Here is an interesting proposition of a braided stitch that produces a firm, but still lacy material that would be excellent for all blanket or throw-type projects. It also produces items that have a fair bit of stretch due to the twisted, braided strands, so it will also be good for form-fitting clothing, like a hat.
