Oooooh, sweet! The lace heart baby blanket is a beautiful project based on a heart-themed square. It’s a fun way of learning some lacy stitching (before tackling that 10 foot lacework mandala you are thinking of) and to make a soft, draping baby blanket that will complement any nursery.
As an alternative, you can consider the Granny Heart blanket, which is a very unique project in that the individual building blocks are heart-shaped, not geometrical. Both are fantabulous patterns, and both will be a pleasure to make. A link to the free pattern is below photos.
