Materials

  • Cotton yarn: purple and yellow
  • Zipper of 20 cm
  • Small metal circle
  • Decoration of your choice

Tools:

  • Straight knitting needle
  • Scissors
  • Hook  1,8 mm with number 0
  • Aluminium crochet of 3 mm
  • Stich marker
  • bent needle nose pliers

Make Up Pouch or Coin Purse Free Crochet Pattern

The zipper

Perforate the right side of the zipper using the steel crochet with the yellow yarn.

R1: 1 ch st, 1 hdc, *1 hdc in each previous st*, rep 29 times – must be even number of st, 2 ch st in the air to reach the left side of the zipper – perforate the left side of the zipper using the steel crochet with the yellow yarn; 1 hdc, *1 hdc in each previous st*, rep 29 times, 2 ch st in the air, 1 sl st to close 1st ch st on the right side of the zipper (64)

Use the aluminium hook of 3 mm.

R2: 1 ch st in the 1st st on the right side of the zipper, 1 hdc – put a stich marker here, *1 hdc in each st*, rep 60 times going in the circle around the zipper, 2 hdc in each ch st in the air, 1 sl st in the place of a stich marker, which you remove (60)

R3: 2 ch st in the air – place a stiching marker in the middle, 3 yo without closing to work a bead st closing 3 yo at once, sk 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 3 yo and a bead st closing them, repeat until finishing current side of the zipper, 2 ch st reaching where the stiching marker is placed, continue with the bead stich until you reach the other side of the zipper, remove a stich marker, sk 2 ch st, 1 sl st (20 bead st).

R4: 1 ch st, 1 hdc in the same st, put a stich marker in between, 1 hdc between and on each bead st until reachind the stiching marker.

Continue Rs of hdc and Rs of bead st until having 7R of bead sts and 7R of hdc. R of hdc must be the last one. Turn the purse over.

The bottom of the purse

R14: *1 hdc in each side of the zipper, close both hdcs with another hdc*, rep 30 times, close with ch st (30)



Knitt endings of the zipper to the purse using the knitting needle.

A decoration attached to the pull tab of the zippers

Use the aluminium crochet of 3 mm and purple yarn.

R1: 30 ch st (30)

Attach the fabric with the metal circle to the pull tab of the zipper using a bent needle nose pliers, apply the decoration of your choice to your ch sts.

The complete coin purse measures 12 cm wide by 8 cm high (~4.5 by 3 inches).
