In the sea of ever fancier crochet projects, it’s sometimes nice to deal with a simpler, more classic pattern. The classics are great, because they do well in any setting, be it rustic or ultra modern.
The baby blanket/pram cover below is such a project. It’s a gently-hued, lightly stitched blanket that harkens back to those used by our parents on us, and will keep the chill off your baby while still leaving lots of air to breathe. A link to the free patterns is under the photos.
Another classic, and very cost effective baby blanket you can make in a short time is the single skein bbay blanket. Just like it says on the box, it uses a single skein and a simple repeating pattern to quickly work up this delightful baby blanket. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
