Sometimes you need a hat that’s not super bulky and warm

As we head into the fall, the weather is getting cooler. However, it’s not yet cold, and certainly not cold enough to wear thick, bulky hats and beanies. Therefore, here are some ideas for a thin slouch for early fall. They’re stylish and highly adaptable, but they’re also comfortable as well as in the Goldilocks zone for the weather as it is now. Why not snazz up your headwear choices for September and October, and indeed for a warm November as well.

Oakley Slouch

The Oakley slouch is a classic crochet hat with a pom-pom. It’s easy and highly adaptable, so you can have  one that suits you amazingly in short order.

Dragonfly Slouchy

The Dragonfly Slouchy is thin slouch decorated with voided-out dragonfly patterns that give it a lacy flair. Moreover, they’re great for ventilation, so this thick-ish slouch won’t be too hot.

The Hadley Slouch

The Hadley slouch is a little more hippy or Boheme. It’s chainlink-like stitching is greatly complemented by alternating the bands of color. This has the further advantage of letting you use up shorter lengths of yarn.
