T’is the season to wrap up!

While the summer and nice part of the fall are over, we crocheters know how to keep toasty and warm. Indeed, warm, chunky blankets are just about the very meaning of crocheting. Without a doubt, their thickness, bulk and drape are an ideal combination with their warmth. Consequently, they are the absolute definition of comfort and coziness. Overall, I can’t imagine anything better than a thick, chunky blanket and an evening in front of the fireplace watching “caveman TV”. Here are some particularly fine examples of blanketful chunk.

Chunky Icelandic Blanket

First, this chunky blanket is just about the best example of the type. After all, it is based on designs that are from one of the coldest places on Earth. Besides this, it’s simply a stunning piece and will make a great gift.

Hibernate Blanket

Although humans don’t hibernate, perhaps we should, particularly with a beautiful, cozy chunky blanket such as this. Indeed, just wrap up and wake up in the spring, that’s how cozy it is!

Vintage Lola Ripple Throw

Finally, this project  is less that, and more of a throw. However, it meets all the criteria: thick, cozy and warm. Therefore, it’s definitely usable as a thick winter wrap.
