Dreamcatchers are a wonderful part of North American Native art and culture. While traditional ones are wonderful hangers or mobiles, this pattern takes the dreamcatcher inspiration and translates it into an afghan (or area rug). Moreover, as the layout is also reminiscent of a spider web, it’s easy to translate this pattern further into a superhero blanket or rug for your kids.
Further still, this pattern is also versatile enough to vary it in terms of colors, to make starburst patterns for blankets or rugs that match many moods and decors. As you can see below, they’re even kitty-cat approved! A link to the free pattern is below photos.
