The sunnier side of granny squares
Undoubtedly, one of the joys of sunburst granny squares is the possibility of taking a traditional crocheting design and giving it a new and fresh look. Not only is its texture pleasant to the touch and look at, but it also serves as a great background for the interplay of colors. Moreover, it’s also an easy and highly repeatable pattern, so that making a large number of squares of identical size is not a problem. Nevertheless, there is one small pitfall (you could call it “pitfallet” maybe?). Due to the concentric rings that form it, you have to pay attention to yarn tension all around to keep it even.

Sunburst Square Blanket
To follow on with even more sunburst, have a look at these squares conjoined into a blanket. Since the borders are strongly stitched on all four sides of each square, the blanket is very robust and solid. However, the contrast means that the sunbursts are still super visible and form the central visual theme.

And here is the Sunburst Square posted on Instagram by NautiKrall by Mallory. This pattern can became even more intriguing, by adding multiple internal circles. Although the square will be somewhat bigger, you greatly increase the possibilities of color variation (which are huge in this square to begin with).
