I’m an accomplished craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews on the topic of crocheting and other crafts. In my everyday work, I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to making our crochet society bigger and more popular. I’m interested in crafts and interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

The Southwestern Mosaic Throw is a mosaic pattern evocative of Native art from the southwest of the US. The pattern looks intricate and difficult, but the projects work up quickly and makes use of color drops as a technique. Because the author drafted the pattern along with the crocheting, there are many revisions. Please follow these along before you get on the project. A link the free pattern is at the end of the post.
