I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

This is a lovely blanket with a great balance between solid texture and lace. Despite the many colors used, it is still full of harmony and elegance. Of course, you can follow Maryfairy’s color choice or make it more moody solely using shades of one hue. Seaside Blues was originally designed in shades of blue, so that’s the origin of its name. The Seaside Blues Blanket is a universal project, no matter the age of the “user”. It will be perfect a pattern both for a baby blanket and a big bedspread… and everything in between.  A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
