I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

Generally, when you think  chevrons, you visualize them with the V pointing up or down, like a searjgeant’s stripes or the like. This bag makes use of a sideways arrangement of chevrons done in alternating colors: the base bag color and a highlight (i.e. rainbow as below). This is a very attractive design reminiscent of the Fast Forward button on AV equipment. This is a neat and sturdy bag that will serve you well in daily use, and will be a joy to make. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
