Rika the Fox
Rika is a fall fox, ready to tackle the worsening weather with her toasty scarf. This is a beautiful project that’s made of simple shapes and does not require much in the way of yarn. Yarn scraps, anyone?! If you make one for a very young ankle biter, please consider using crocheted eyes for safety.

What do you think of this cute little guy? This ami fox may look like he’s knit, but is, in fact, a crocheted toy. It uses the SSC stitch, which runs the hook in between the legs of the next stitch, forming an overlapping pattern that is reminiscent of knitting. Because of the intermeshing, the neighbouring stitches will pull one another to the vertical, rather than like in normal SC, where they lean right or left. Lastly, the beautiful appearance of the fox is topped off with the eyeglasses, giving him a very intelligent and incisive air.
