Ice Cream Snowman Amigurumi

Ice Cream Snowman Amigurumi
A hand holding a crochet Ice Cream Snowman, complete with a carrot-shaped nose and black buttons. The snowman sits atop an ice cream cone base adorned with chocolate topping. The background is light blue with white snowflake patterns, adding a touch of winter magic.
You will love this funny and cute snowman. It looks like a real ice-cream cone with chocolate topping and a little cherry on top of the head. The Ice Cream Snowman will be a perfect gift for anyone (and who doesn’t like ice cream?), but it can also be an adorable Christmas tree ornament or baby rattle. So scrumptious-looking, you will have to stop yourself from licking it!

Supplies to Get Started

To make this little crochet snowman, you will need a 2 mm crochet hook, a bit of polyester filling (yarn scraps will do too!), and fine yarn.

The pattern doesn’t specify the specific brand, but cotton or semi-cotton yarn in fingering weight, like Scheepjes Catona or YarnArt Begonia, makes a great option.

If you want to achieve the same delicious look for your snowman amigurumi, choose white, beige, brown, red, and orange colors. The required yarn amounts are very small, so any leftover strands will come in handy.

Prepare also 6 mm safety eyes  – 5 in total for eyes and buttons, or go for embroidery ones!

Stitch Techniques You’ll Use in This Project

This little crochet snowman pattern involves simple amigurumi techniques and will be easy to handle even for those with basic experience.

The head and body are worked in one piece using single crochet, increasing and decreasing. Once done, you make the ice cream cone and then finish it off with tasty details like chocolate and cherry topping and a cute carrot nose.

What Size Does the Finished Snowman Measure?

The size of your snowman amigurumi will depend on the materials used. However, if you work it with the same hook and yarn, the finished piece should be about 6.3” (16 cm) tall.

How to Display Your Finished Piece

Wondering what you could do with this cute little handmade softie? Below, I’ve gathered some cool ideas. Consider using it as:

  • winter-themed baby rattle
  • handmade Christmas tree ornament
  • centerpiece in winter decor setups
  • gift basket filler

Let me know in the comments which idea you’ll try when making your ice cream snowman!
