The Mobius coil is an interesting geometrical figure which has two sides, but a single surface. It’s made by taking a strip of material, giving one end a half-twist, and then connecting the two ends together. This is the inspiration for this shawl, and the twist is worn as the neck-piece of the shawl. The pattern itself is quite simple, and the author provides detailed descriptions on how to avoid twists and kinks in the chain as it is being worked around. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
