The gerbera flower, that most beautiful example of radial symmetry

Gerbera flowers are a beautiful example of how much can be achieved with a simple hub -and-spoke design inspired by a flower. In fact, these beautiful blossoms are a great way to add a floral starburst to just about any pattern. However, they are also a great central or defining motif for many designs. Thus, please see below for some grebera-inspired items that will be the colorful highlights of any room you grace with them.

Gerbera Doily

This doily is a wonderful example of how the gerbera flower theme becomes a central motif and, in this case, truly defines he whole project. Undoubtedly, this beautiful and stunning doily is a masterpiece of lacy crocheting.

Autumn Gerbera

Clearly, these highly realistic autumn gerberas are just the thing to put some autumn colors on a leafy display, for example on a beautifully set table.

Gerbera Mandala

The gerbera mandala is a beautiful example of how the gerbera blossom can be worked into other, seemingly unrelated patters, as can be seen on the photo below. Indeed, its radial symmetry lends itself perfectly to making roughly circular items. Lastly, it’s just a worthy and beautiful pattern in itself.
