Crocheted potholders are very attractive and highly adaptable from an aesthetic point of view. However, they have the one problem that they usually don’t protect the hand from heat very well. This holder addresses that in a neat and simple way, by being folded back on itself. The double layer protects the hand against heat, and gives it a thick, rich feel and smooth outer edge. Folded potholder pattern is a breeze. Also nice and thick.
I have a question. I have several balls of leftover Bernat baby blanket yarn. If I use a slightly larger hook other than a H, can I use it to make these potholders?
It is better to use all cotton yarn for the potholders, because acrylic can melt if it is put to something very hot. So use cotton yarn for these potholders
