One of the problems with crocheted potholders is that their loose structure doesn’t really protect you from the heat of the pot. One solution is to double up the layers, but that often leaves an unsightly seam along the edges. This project solves that problem, by crocheting around the edges, and then sealing the seam down the middle, which makes it look almost like a zippered coin purse.
