Continous Mittered Square Blanket

I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

This pattern has all  the charm of a patchwork blanket, but is worked as a single, continuous piece and requires no fastening of squares nor does it leave the pesky problem of multiple ends to tie off. The self striping yarn provides all of the colour pattern, so you do the crochet, and the colours make themselves. Both the diagram and the pattern will enable you to make the blanket. For more free designs every day follow us on Facebook. The link to the pattern is below
