Emmy’s Baby Cardigan is a classically styled baby cardigan with star-inspired chevrons and a simple bear-shaped button closure. Moreover, it’s both gorgeous and easy! Therefore, it’s a great project for getting into crocheting beyond practice stitches.

2 1/2 Hour Nap Free Crochet Pattern

Here is a slightly more modern, somewhat hippy-trippy set. This is also a beautiful pattern, with lovely loose stitching that will keep baby warm, but not overheating. I like this one a lot.
