I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

12″ crochet square made from Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran will be a great project to start right now. Using Autumn On Mind Square you can make a perfect blanket, bedspread or pillow. Beautiful fall colors will underline your interiors and will match decorations for both: Thanksgiving and Halloween. The pattern is quite complicated, but there is a marvelous photo tutorial included, so the impossible becomes possible and even beginners can try to make this masterpiece. Enjoy!

  3. Incredible beautiful crochet! I would really like to attempt the pattern. However much I am in love with the pattern, I am also a bit disgruntled. I ‘clicked’ rather than merely admired, because it was labeled as a FREE PATTERN. Link – jump to the Ravelry site and lo and behold …NOT NOT NOT a free pattern after all. Now, I have no objection to requesting payment for all your hard work in creating this beauty and getting the pattern down into the written word for others to peeruse and use. BUT PLEASE SAY SO UP FRONT! And if that means going back and re-editing, then do it.

    1. Hi Donna, sorry to hear that. Although you found a paid version of downloadable pattern on Ravlery, a free pattern is still available. On Ravlery you have 2 option: ‘buy it now’ or ‘visit pattern website’. A free version is also available on the website.
