I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

Crocheting is one of the most versatile crafts out there. In addition to the more typical projects such as clothing, fashion accessory and blankets, there are areas of crocheting that go quite a bit beyond the usual and blazed patterns for textile goods. Here are some patterns for kids’ jewellery/decorations that are certain to be a hit amongst little girls everywhere.

Unicorn Slap Bracelet Free Crochet Pattern

Slap bracelets are bracelets that wrap themselves around the arm, or bike frame when you slap them on. The trick is in having a springy skeleton in the bracelet part, which can either bend across or lengthwise, but not both at once. If you furnish these with a unicorn head or other animals you get beautiful, fun bracelets that will hold pride of place among grade schoolers.

These animal bracelets are just the thing for a little kid to wear and show off to their friends. These are a little easier to make than slap bracelets. They will also be more comfortable to wear on little arms. Enjoy, have fun, and enjoy your kids enjoying homemade presents from you.
