One crochet theme we’ve neglected of late are birds, and specifically in the form of a bird applique. While perhaps not as fancy as a bird amigurumi, these wonderful two-dimensional decorations are the perfect way to put some avian ambiance on any project or item. Certainly, as with real birds, you can really jazz up the colors or keep them down to a designer few. Moreover, whole flocks can be made to decorate a wall hanging, or indeed, the wall.
