Short of shawls there is no crochet topic more popular than cats. Here are some cat-themed projects to give you your feline fix.
I bet you are a cat lover, consequently you probably think that nothing goes better together than a hook, good coffee, your favourite TV show and a cat. If so, you will love the projects below: beautiful blankets made explicitly with a cat motif. They are excellent for decoration, or indeed for curling up on a chill evening. Nothing says I love cats and hooks like our crochet cat blanket ideas. A link to free patterns is included under the photos.
Cover in Cats Afghan Free Crochet Pattern
Covered in Cats is a simple C2C, corner to corner, afghan. It is an easy, repeatable pattern perfect for beginners. The blanket has three large cats in typical feline poses: a curious one peeking in, an alert one sitting upright (maybe his bowl was just filled?) and another just regally lazing around. It’s a blanket with kittycats just being kittycats ;D

Cats Afghan Free Crochet Pattern
The cats afghan is a little different. It’s a beautiful example of a project demonstrating interlocking geometric shapes that happen to be very cat-like. Or is it by the same token that the cats are being very geometric shape-like? It’s hard to tell, and therein is the beautiful mystery of this project.
