Amazing blankets with textures!

So, a textured patchwork throw is a wonderful, colorful way of enlivening the decor in a room, be it a bedroom or living space. Moreover, the tactile aspect of the texture augments its appearance by having a varied surface that stimulates yet another sense. Moreover, while these blankets may LOOK complex, they’re really quite easy to make. Of course, this means that they are perfect even for an ambitious… well, more adventurous beginner. Likewise, they are highly customizable, so you can really make them your own. Better still, they will also make a great, personal and sincere present.

Continuous Mitered Square Blanket

This textured patchwork throw is undoubtedly a top notch example of just how far you can take the variation in this sort of project. Technicolor dreamcoat? Pshaw! make a continuous mitered blanket instead!

Bauhaus Block Blanket

The Bauhaus Block is an intriguing blanket made from 1.75” x 1.75” squares. It makes a nice bedspread, but it is also a good pattern for a rug, wall hanger, or tapestry. According to the pattern, you will make an eight-stitch by eight-row square, but you can adjust it to your project, such as a six-stitch by six-row square like in the blanket in the photo.
