Here is a great idea for a dishcloth. The ridged texture gives a positive grip on hot, slippery pots. The dual nature of the stitching allows you to play around with color choices and color-texture combinations. This is a fun little item, that has great functionality and a beautiful appearance. It is a great idea for a simple but lovely gift for your friend, especially if you pick up colors matching  her/his kitchen design. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
