The Adeline Baby Blanket is a wonderful example of an adult-styled blanket for babies. Not all coverings for the littlest ones have to be super sweet and pink or blue. They don’t have to be cartoon themed either. The Adeline pattern shows that a bassinet cover or swaddle wrap can be amazinglu blanket-like and fit for the decor of a normal room, not just a nursery with dancing hippos on the walls… as nice as dancing hippos are. Remember Fantasia?

Let’s Start a Riot Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

This joyful and wild blanket makes use of a dizzying variety of colors to set out many different bands of colors. Like  some other projects of this ilk, it’s a great way to use up the stash of yarn ends that always seem to accumulate. It takes the yarn color disparity and makes it its own by building a chaotic, but nevertheless harmonious whole. Best of all, it’s an easy project and a fun diversion from more serious ones. A link to the free pattern is under the photos.
