Don’t be square, put some stars in your kip!
While most blankets are traditionally made in rectangular or square shapes, a star is also quite a viable shape, regardless of the number of points. However, to offset their novel shapes, these blankets are made using traditional stitches and textures. Thus, each one will not only be a perfect accesory to a star-covered nap, but also a lovely decoration or even center piece in a room. Also, if you have a housewarming to attend, such a blanket will be just the thing to make a new house comfy and beautiful.
Star Blanket
To begin exploring the theme of a star-covered nap, here is a beautiful striped star baby blanket. In particular, its glorious stripes radiate outward with Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn, a soft and delicate touch for tender young skin.

The next candidate for our star-covered nap is this wonderful blanket. Overall, it’s adaptation of the popular Rainbow Ripple Baby Blanket and shows how a circular pattern can make a symmetrical starburst pattern. Indeed, this would make a great floor play blanket for the little one.

However, just because the blanket is a star-covered nap accessory, it doesn’t have to be all serene and peaceful. In addition to the color choice (quite calm in this case) the star blanket can also have a pretty varied and wild texture, and this wonderful project shows you how. The texture transitions are particularly wonderful.
