What Yarn Is Recommended For This Blanket?
Before you begin, be sure to choose DK-weight yarn available in a range of bright colors. It will help you make the most of this pattern. The designer used 550g of Stylecraft Special Double Knit in black and about 10 g of each of 21 colours. The squares are worked the very same way, except that you will use the colors in a different order.
How Many Squares Make Up The Blanket?
The original pattern uses 42 square pieces. Once you combine them, they will turn into a blanket that measures about 46” x 39โ (116 x 100 cm). You can easily adjust its size by adding more squares or simply removing the pieces. If you’re not sure how many elements you’re going to need to achieve a desired blanket size, check out our calculator.
Does The Pattern Include Step-By-Step Photos?
Yes, it does. The written pattern comes with helpful photos provided after each round. This makes it easy for you to track your progress and makes it suitable for those trying their hand at mosaic crochet for the first time.
