Different colors of pieces put together look like a patchwork.

Starting from tiny crochet squares you can go surprisingly big with a broad throw. There are no boundaries on the size, texture or color of the squares. Your project are thus limitless. Who would have thought how these tiny building blocks can broaden your mind and let your imagination run wild.

This beautiful throw below is made in a similar fashion, but from mitered squares and constructed in such a smart way. Each square gets joined as you go and measures approximately 3.5″.

Battenberg Blanket

This beautiful and classic-looking, yet modern blanket is a relatively simple, though large project. It’s reminiscent of a Battenberg cake, hence the name, and is composed of soft, thick centered squares. There are more details in the video. This blanket will not only be a beautiful decoration, but a functional cover as well.
