This is a modern take on the granny afghan, which uses interwoven blocks instad of squares, enabling the crocheter to make a much more cohesive, fine-grained blanket without the swaths of large squares a traditional granny square afghan would have. Also, the size is adjustable, and this project can be adapted into a baby blanket. It’s a great, alternative way to crochet granny afghans, blankets or throws.
