Who says a granny square has to be a flat project to be worked into a single surface like a blanket or throw? Well, if someone does, you can point them to this cute pouch/wallet/whatzit and say “Ha ha! Not so!” This project takes a flat granny square and folds it into a three-dimensional envelope that ‘s great for holding those pesky little items that always seem to get everywhere like your earbuds or keys. It’s easy as well, so you can make a bunch of these for yourself, or to give out as presents to friends. A link to a free pattern is at the end of the post.

If you consider a granny square pouch, but thinking of something bigger, just use a large square pattern to make it. You can also add some linning to your pouch to give it a more sophisticated look.
