I’m a craft designer and author of hundreds of articles and reviews about crocheting and other crafts. I search out and present novel approaches to classic patterns and techniques to encourage you to try something new. I’m delighted that so many of you read my posts and that I can contribute to promoting our crochet community. I’m interested in crafts, interior design and love traveling and sitting next to a campfire. I live with my husband and three kids in the Rockies.

Potholders are just that: a thick cloth item to stop you from burning your hands when you lift a hot pot. That’s the ho-hum mundane version. UPDATE: Jun 18th, 2024: Discontinued. This digital pattern is no longer available online.

This cute miniature dress with a hanging loop (an almost requirement for storing pot holders) is a wonderful little piece of eye-candy that will look great contrasting with and softening the hard-edged minimalism of modern kitchens. You can make these little beauties in just about any color, and with any pattern of color bands. They’re a great little project for making little additions to housewarming gifts or just for using up yarn ends.
