Around the World Quilt From Granny Squares Free Crochet Pattern
If the diagonals aren’t your thing, the patchwork quilt paradigm can be explored in the around the world granny square blanket, which is also colorful and varied, but uses only small full squares to achieve the multi-hued effect. Note that it also uses diagonal lines, but ones “pixellated” out of squares. The small size of the square blocks is helpful in achieving this effect.
